Research
We are interested in the study of gene expression in the immune system mediated
by a family of transcription factors called Nuclear Factor kappa B (NF-kB). This
group of proteins regulates the expression of a large number of genes involved
in immune responses, inflammation and auto-immune diseases. The goal of our work
is to understand the signals that activate NF-kB and isolate their target genes
in order to be able to manipulate the immune responses during infections and
chronic inflammatory diseases.
