Research In addition to these more applied interests, we are interested in understanding the fundamental molecular biology of angiogenesis. Thus, we study the biological activity and signalling mechanisms of the novel genes that we have identified. We use a range of models from in vitro proliferation, migration and tube forming assays to in vivo angiogenesis assays and the development of the vasculature in the zebrafish and mouse. The latter requires expert transgenesis that is performed in collaboration with Cancer Research UK. This page is maintained by the Division of Immunity and Infection. |
